Board of Directors

The Nunavik Mineral Exploration Fund (NMEF) is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for overseeing the organization’s direction and ensuring that its activities remain aligned with its mission and objectives.

 

The Board is composed of representatives appointed by key regional organizations: the Nunaliit Association, which represents all Nunavik Landholding Corporations, the Kativik Regional Government, and Makivvik Corporation. Together, these members help ensure that the Fund reflects the interests and priorities of Nunavik communities.

 

The directors review and approve the NMEF annual budget and action plan, as well as the allocation of funding to autonomous prospectors when applications are received. They also approve agreements under the Aboriginal Mining Fund program and support the sound governance of the Fund.
